This weekend didn't have too many amazing recipes or food choices, but it did have some amazing events. This weekend marks the attendance of my first demolition derby. I am official on my way to becoming southern. This event was termed the "Tour of Destruction" and took place at Anderson Motor Speedway. There were tons of events set up with junk cars that were meant to get destroyed. They had front wheel drive races, bus races and of course monster trucks. The events themselves were entertaining, but the people watching was even better.
A group of our friends got together and tailgated before the event, which made for even more entertainment as we were the only one's tailgating.

But since this is a blog about healthy living etc., we did make some fun food choices this weekend as well.
1. We went to Clemson University Saturday morning to pick up a gift for the boyfriend's family. While we were there we got to check out the '55 Exchange. This is Clemson's creamery run by Clemson students and with ice cream made by Clemson students as well. I had a delicious chocolate waffle cone that was well worth the walk across campus.

2. We bought pre-made kabobs from Publix and grilled them while tailgating before the TOD. They were a delicious and healthy option that was different than the normal burgers and hotdogs. We definitely should have purchased a seasoning/marinade to go with it, but we now know for next time!
What did you all get into this weekend?
