My apologies for being off my normal pattern with blog posts. This weekend was busy busy and I didn't take my computer with me, which made writing a little difficult. This weekend started with a long drive up to Richmond for the Federated Auto Parts 400 Nascar race.
We left after work on Friday and made a stop in Durham for dinner. We went to a local Brewery known as Bull City Brewery (http://www.bullcityburgerandbrewery.com/Bull_City_Burger_and_Brewery/Home.html).

I had the Joan Jett Veggie Burger which was a 3 bean burger with goat cheese on top. Delicious!
We also split a side of sweet potato fries, which were incredible. The cinnamon sugar on top of the fries was the cherry on top and made them almost like a dessert.
We continued on our way to Richmond and got to our campsite around 10pm. We were greeted by our friends and enjoyed talking and beverages before hitting the sack.
The next day entailed lots of tailgating and perusing free gifts before the big race. Now this was my first Nascar race and I can say that it was quite entertaining. I really did like how everyone got really into the race and I was mesmerized watching the pit crews do their work. Our group made a friendly bet on who would win and the boyfriend won with his pick of Brad Keselowski.

Thankfully, we got back to the campsite to watch my Hokies kick some major butt on the football field.
The next morning we left very early to drive the 1.5 hours home to see my family and friends. We spent Sunday there, which was much needed and wonderful to spend time with everyone. On Monday we started our long trek back to Greenville.
Another successful weekend in the books.
