I recently saw an article about the exercises we should be doing daily for optimal health. I decided to write my own list about the exercises I think are most helpful in muscle toning and growth. These exercises target multiple muscles groups and should at least be included multiple times per week.
1. Squats: Squats not only target the muscles of the lower legs, but also work the core. Depending on the type of squat you do, you can also give your upper body a workout

2. Lunges: This exercise targets the muscles of the lower legs, but also sets those glutes on fire. You can even include this exercise as a dynamic stretch to prepare for a workout
3. Push-ups: The options are endless with push-ups, which makes them one of the best exercises for the upper body. You can target your biceps, triceps and pectorals, just to name a few.
4. Plank: This stabilization exercise shreds those core muscles and improves balance. This exercise also has quite a number of variations to make sure that you're targeting all the abdominal muscles.
All exercises have their time and place in an exercise routine, but I feel as though these four can be a great foundation to build on and can give variety that will help you feel stronger and more toned.
