I've been MIA since last Friday and I know you all were incredibly concerned. Well to ease everyone's mind my absence was due to traveling...to Vegas!
That's right! They boyfriend was in a friend's wedding this past weekend, which meant that I got my first visit to sin city.
We left on Saturday afternoon following the amazing Hornets game on Friday night.

I'm not the best traveler in the world (not a huge fan of flying), so it was nice to have my travel buddy with me.
The weekend started quickly with a buffet dinner on Saturday night, a Sunday morning wedding followed by pool day and hanging out with friends.
Monday was when the real tourism began. We got up relatively early Monday morning and decided to walk the strip. Now our hotel was located at one end of the strip so the long walk was essentially ~4 miles one way. We walked through a bunch of casinos so I could get the real Vegas experience.
Our walk ended with a visit to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. I have always wanted to go to one of these museums and it didn't disappoint.
We grabbed a quick lunch and hit the road to go see the Hoover Dam. Getting outside the strip was definitely one of my favorite parts of the trip. Nevada is GORGEOUS and definitely made me want to explore more.
We had the chance to stop by my uncle and aunt's house on the way back from the dam and have dinner. I was able to see my cousin and her children who I haven't seen in over 5 years! Can't beat family catch up time.
We made it back to the strip in time for one of the famous Bellagio fountain shows (Shout out to my brother and sister-in-law who got engaged there 4 years ago. I now understand how incredible that moment was!).
Tuesday morning came early with a trip to Downtown Las Vegas and Fremont Street.

A stop by the famous Fabulous Las Vegas sign and it was time to hit the road again.
Overall, an incredible trip and spending some time with wonderful people. I can't wait to plan the next trip out to see and experience more of the beautiful state.
Side-note: We did do some gambling, but we didn't have too much time. I ended up losing ~$5 of my own, but blew the $50 that I earned!
Happy Wednesday! It's good to be back!
